Marmot the Gardener

Year 2014, January 19, Sunday.

Marmot the Gardener log, entry three:

Ten months from the last entry.  As it happens with megaprojects, the results do not exactly match initial plans. Selected plants coped badly with Beijing summer. Had to replace most of them.

1. Flowers
Petunia, planted in August, and pomegranates the only ones to keep blooming.
Kalanchoe blossfeldiana stopped blooming and rushed into green mass increase. Attempts to make it bloom again (4 months of short daylight) failed. Orchid lost all the flower buds after insecticide. Begonia survived longer than expected but got rid of the blossom already.

2. Pomegranates
Doing pretty well. Surprisingly, the tiny fruits are eatable and have taste of the bigger one, just not that sweet and even richer in other aspects.
3.Epipremnum
Nothing can stop it from growing. Dream about making green ceiling with its shoots.
4. Tomatos
Failure. Complete failure. Well there was harvest. Now I know why this tomato is called Micron. Not because of the plant size as they claimed. Check out the tomatos size against cherries... Be the way, the dish diameter is 5 sm.
